Students on the Beamline

High school students on the mezzanine at CLS, after presenting their research as part of the Students on the Beamline program.

Students on the Beamline is a competitive program where educators guide a group of their students in hands-on, student-led research. Here, students drive their own scientific inquiry, leading the process from project inception to execution. Educators can apply inquiry-based teaching methods in a real science research setting, enhancing both their teaching and their students' learning experience.

Post-Secondary Engagement

Undergraduate students presenting their science posters and synchrotron research to CLS staff members, as part of the post-secondary programs with the Education Team.

At CLS Education, we offer professors the opportunity to involve their post-secondary students in synchrotron research through specialized courses. Collaborating with instructors and professors, we tailor experiences to meet specific learning objectives, using models like Integrated Projects, Lab-Based Experiences, or Group Research Projects. Professors can explore past successful engagements and examples.
