We appreciate your patience as we embark on a 6-month shutdown to replace our aging linear accelerator (LINAC) with a modern electron source and a new radio frequency LINAC.
Upgrading this equipment will improve the beam efficiency and operational reliability of our injection system, ultimately enhancing the constant brightness of its light.
Due to the unpredictable nature of supply chain issues, the actual start date of the 6-month shutdown for the linear accelerator upgrade project may be delayed, even on very short notice. Schedule updated March 28, 2024.
