Program Overview

The Canadian Light Source has partnered with NSERC CREATE to INSPIRE program at the University of Saskatchewan to present the Resource Extraction Workshop being held on the afternoons of March 29-31. It will include industry and academic talks covering the topics of geochemical implications of uranium mining, mining past and present, oxyanions in biogeochemicals systems and future opportunites with a focus on how these topics can be addressed using synchrotron techniques. On the second afternoon of the 3-day conference there will be a technical session centred around improving XAS outcomes in mining related questions.
