CISR Poster Prizes
The Canadian Institute for Synchrotron Radiation offered four (4) prizes of $300 each this year for the best synchrotron related posters presented by a graduate student(s) or post-doctoral fellow(s). Congratulations to the winners in the following 4 research categories:
- Life Sciences - Winner: Glendon Rhoades (University of Saskatchewan) – Title: Diffraction enhanced imaging of growing joints using synchrotron Light
- Environmental and Earth Sciences – Winner: Courtney Phillips (University of Saskatchewan) – Title” In-situ spectroscopic studies of aqueous Cu(II)-organic complexes
- Materials Science and Instrumentation – Winner: Andrew Achkar (University of Waterloo) – Title:: Resonant soft x-ray scattering measurements of a spatial modulation of the Cu 3d and O 2p energies in stripe-ordered cuprate superconductors
- Macromolecular Crystallography – Winner: Kun Shi (McGill University) – Title: Structural analysis of the aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme APH(2”)-lva
