Biography: Professor Rob Lewis is recognized as a world-class researcher whose pioneering strides have brought him to the forefront of synchrotron medical diagnosis and therapy.

His research has taken him around the world from Daresbury Synchrotron Radiation Source in England to his current home as the foundation chair of X-ray and Synchrotron Physics at Monash University in Melbourne , Australia , soon to be the site of the new Australian Synchrotron. Professor Lewis also sits as the adjunct chair in Medical Imaging in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan .
