Users' Advisory Committee

Welcome!

The Canadian Light Source Annual Users' Meeting will be held at the University of Saskatchewan Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18, 2006. The meeting is a great opportunity to learn about the progress of the Canadian Light Source, present your recent synchrotron work and meet fellow users. This years’ meeting will be held in conjunction with the 3 rd Northern Lights Summer Conference of the Canadian Federation of Biological Societies Wednesday, June 14 to Friday, June 16, 2006—joint sessions will be held on June 16. The theme of the Northern Lights conference is ‘ Shining Light on Biological Processes’.

Associated Workshops

Five workshops covering a wide range of topics will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 in conjunction with the Canadian Federation of Biological Societies.

Poster Session and CISR Student Prize

You are invited to submit posters about your recent or planned synchrotron work. The Canadian Institute for Synchrotron Radiation will again offer a prize for the best synchrotron related poster presented by a graduate student or post-doctoral fellow.

Vendor Exhibition

As in previous years, exhibitors and suppliers will exhibit the latest in synchrotron-related equipment.

Public Lecture

Tuesday, June 13 the Canadian Light Source Users’ Advisory Committee is pleased to present a Public Lecture, with Professor Rob Lewis from the Monash University titled “Using the synchrotron to see cancer (and many other things)” .

Associated Events

The Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Centre (SSSC) invites you to a Satellite Workshop “Advanced Bio-Imaging”. Experience a full day of lectures and hands-on imaging.

2007 AUM

Planning is already underway for the 10 th Annual Users’ Meeting to be held in June of 2007 in conjunction with the Canadian Association of Physicists Annual Meeting. Watch for more details coming soon!
