Methods for Interfacing to the CLS Beamline Control Systems
|
| Description: |
The control systems on the machine and each beamline are based on EPICS and use similar hardware and software to the greatest extent possible. CLS is providing a turn-key control system on each beamline that includes Matlab and SciLab as the default embedded scripting environments. This provides the ability for those users that want to do their own script the ability to easily script and visualise data in real time. This presentation will cover:
a) The organisation of a typical CLS beamline control system,
b) Controlling a beamline and acquiring data using Mathworks Matlab or SciLab
c) Other options for interfacing to the CLS control systems.
