2011 Users' Advisory Committee (UAC) Election

The Canadian Light Source Users' Advisory Committee (UAC) has 12 members with staggered terms and there were three positions to fill for the term starting September, 2011.

Membership is intended to cross the spectrum, literally, across all wavelengths of synchrotron light activities, as well as across the user community (academia, government and industry) and across the country. The UAC has a mandate to represent all CLS users.

A request for you to participate in the Users' Advisory Committee (UAC) online election was distributed on Monday, July 18, 2011. The poll remained open from 9:00a.m. CST on Monday, July 18, 2011 until 12 noon CST on Friday, July 22, 2011.

Congratulations to the following Regular Members who were elected for a three year term commencing September, 2011:

Derek Peak, who has been Vice-Chair for the past year, will take over the position of Chair as of September, 2011.
