First Monochromatic light video!
a video of the first monochromatic light at the CLS was observed at the diagnostic chamber on the VLS-PGM on June 5, 2004. This video was captured using a P31 phosphor screen in the diagnostic chamber. The video shows a bright light appearing as the monochromator is scanned to an energy of 165 eV, to match the setting of the insertion device. Bright zero order light, not featured in the video, was also observed.
