Pre-Workshop Preparation: XANES & XRD Calculations using FDMNES Code
This purpose of this workshop is to enable experienced XANES and XRD users to enhance their understanding and use of FDNMES code to simulate absorption spectra. To make full use of the expertise available with the presence of Dr. Joly and Dr. Bunau, some preparation is required. Detailed information will be posted closer to the workshop start, but you may anticipate:
- You will need to bring a lap top computer with the following two software packages already downloaded: (We will provide detailed requirements and links later.)
- Materials including literature for background reading will be online and available to you well before the workshop at: http://www.lightsource.ca/files/index.php?id=410. You will receive the password upon your acceptance.
