Dr. Mark Sutton has a Ph.D. in Physics (1981); M.Sc. in Physics (1976); and a B.Sc. with Honours in Math and Physics from the University of Toronto (1974).
Dr. Sutton brings 25 years of experience using synchrotrons to the CLS Board of Directors. His research uses high resolution x-ray diffraction and x-ray intensity fluctuation spectroscopy to study the properties of materials. He has been involved with the design and construction of Beamline X20 at the National Synchrotron Light Source and IMM/XOR-CAT at the Advanced Photon Source.
