Ms. Sharon Lee Smith is a graduate of Carlton University with a Masters of Public Administration. Her undergraduate degree was Journalism from Carleton University.
Sharon Lee assumed her responsibilities as Assistant Deputy Minister (Acting) for the Saskatchewan Region of Western Economic Diversification (WD) in the Spring, 2008. Prior to joining WD, Sharon Lee served as Director General at Environment Canada for Multilateral and Bilateral affairs, and as Director General, Climate Change International.
During her career with the Public Service, Sharon Lee has also worked for Privy Council and Health Canada. At Health Canada she served as Executive Director, Aboriginal Health Secretariat, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch. She has also held positions with the Government of Ontario.
Sharon Lee is delighted to be working in Saskatchewan and learning more about regional agencies and their contributions to serving Canadians.
