Dr. rer. nat from the University of Heidelberg, Germany and currently a professor of Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics and Molecular and Medical Genetics at the University of Toronto and also a Canada Research Chair in Structural Biology. President and member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Institute for Synchrotron Radiation; member of the Ontario Synchrotron Consortium and member of the NIH Advisory committee for the BioCARS sector at the Advanced Photon Source.
Dr. Pai has over 25 years of synchrotron research experience in structural biology and has been a co-Principal Investigator for several beamlines. He is also a beam team member for the CMCF I and II beamlines at the Canadian Light Source.
