Mr. Ching was the President and Chief Executive Officer of President and Chief Executive Officer of AREVA Resources Canada Inc from 2005 to 2007.  AREVA Resources is a uranium exploration, mining and milling company based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with mining and milling facilities in Northern Saskatchewan.  It is part of the AREVA Group, which is involved in all aspects of the nuclear fuel cycle and has its head office in Paris, France.

Mr. Ching guided AREVA Resources through a period of change with the decommissioning of the Cluff Lake mine, the expansion of the McClean Lake JEB Mill, the preparation of the new Midwest mine and the intensive exploration program in Northern Saskatchewan and Nunavut.  Through this transition period Mr. Ching aimed to maintain AREVA Resources as one of Saskatchewan’s employers of choice as well as promote the uranium mining industry and related nuclear industry to the general public.  Don is encouraged by the fact that public support is at an all-time high.

From 1996 to 2004, Mr. Ching was the President and Chief Executive Officer of SaskTel.  He oversaw the development and implementation of SaskTel’s current business plan, including its strategic direction to diversity lines of business while reducing costs.

Prior to AREVA Resources and SaskTel, he was the President of Crown Investment Corporation, managing partner in the law firm of Mitchell Taylor Romanow Ching (now Woloshyn and Company) and Executive Vice President of the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan.

Mr. Ching is a member of the Saskatchewan Bar Association.  He is on the Board of Directors of SaskEnergy and several private businesses involved in forestry, investments and manufacturing.
